Pupils have two lessons a fortnight in Music at KS3 studying multiple topics per year. Students will experience a mix of performing, composing and listening tasks with a formal recorded assessment at the end of each unit.  Pupils work through internally written booklets which they may take home to practise and use as they wish.

Term 2/3 – Latin American Music (calypso, samba & reggae)

Term 4/5 – Musicals

Term 6 – Blues

Year 9

Term 1/2/3 – Band Skills

Term 4/5 – Film Music

Term 6 – Music Production
