Inspiring Futures Project
This project allows you to influence and enhance the experience of all our students by doing one or both of two things, which will have an immediate and lasting impact on what we can achieve together:
- The Inspiring Futures Fund is an opportunity to donate to this project financially (more information can be found in the booklet at the bottom of this page). All funds raised from this initiative will go directly to enhancing students' experience during their time at Newlands. It could be to support one of the 70 clubs on offer, or to update one of our ageing classrooms. We ask all parents to consider making a regular donation each month of either £10, £20 or £30 to help us maintain, strengthen and invest in the rich learning journey that we, as a school, have embarked on with you. A copy of the mandate form can be downloaded below, or you can set up your own directly with your bank. We would be grateful for whatever you can give.
- The Inspiring Futures Social Action Projects are designed to encourage volunteering, and we will be asking members if the wider school community to consider giving your time or expertise to the school. Activities might include decorating our classrooms, enhancing outside spaces, attending school trips or offering to run mock interviews for our students as part of their Careers education. We also have speakers from Industry deliver sessions during our PSHE lessons to support the Personal Development curriculum, so you might be interested in running one of those too. Please look out for the ways in which you can get involved!
‘Setting no limits’ is our vision and this is true of all aspects of school life. Academic success, enrichment, personal development and improving the environment in which we work and learn in every single day.
Together, as a community, we can make an even greater impact on the development and experiences of the very special young people we work with every single day. Thank you
Inspiring Futures Social Action: Proud to Paint!
We are thrilled to launch our first Social Action Project: Proud to Paint. Our social action projects are designed to encourage volunteering, and for this project we would love for as many people to join us in August to decorate some of our classrooms. If you would like to register your interest in taking part, please follow this link to share your details, or use the QR code on the poster below. Thank you for your support!
